Penarth Bears Lacrosse Players make National Welsh Squad

Penarth Lacrosse Club (the Bears) are delighted to announce that five members of the men’s field Lacrosse Team have successfully made it through recent trials into the welsh national U19 men’s field lacrosse squad. They are currently in training and will compete in the World Championships in Vancouver, Canada, next July.

Chris Ball The Bears Senior men’s Captain aged 17 a student at Barry College will play midfield.

Jonny Morris 16 a pupil at Stanwell School will also play midfield/ attack

Mark Morgan 17 also a pupil at Stanwell will play midfield

Ceri Hill 15 attends St Cyres will play defense.

Missing from the photograph is Anthony Peregrine 18 who attended Stanwell, but is now a first year student at Northampton University will play attack.

These players have all come through Penarth Club. The committees and members are very proud of their achievement, which is well deserved after many years of hard work as they all started as junior members of the club. Their dedication, commitment and ability has now resulted in them reaching the ultimate accolade of any sports man that of playing for their country
