Saturday saw the first game of the new year for the Bears against the Bristol Sharks in the flags championship. Bristol having the home advantage and draw their last game with Penarth could feel a win on the cards.

The first quarter saw action from both sides with goals being conceded on both sides. It was evident that the extra long break had taken it toll on Penarth with the lack of inspiration when attacking.

The second and third followed suit until the final quarter where Penarth started to show some form. Penarth won the game 5-4 but all credit to the sharks who had done their homework and prepared well.

The Bears are away to the Quins for the semi final on February 14th. This Saturday weather permitting we are away to Aberystwyth.

We are looking for new players especially boys from the age of 14 to play in our League side. All equipment is supplied.

We also would like to welcome girls and boys into our Jnr section from age 6 to have fun playing this exciting game.
