Last weekend saw the Bears travel to local oposition the Cardiff Harlequins. From the off Penarth demonstrated that their pre-game talk on controlling the game from the beginning paid off with Penarth scoring first on a poor quality pitch.

Ground balls were difficult and made life difficult for both sides, but the Bears with clear guidance from Dave Porter (Player/coach) competed for every loose ball. The Final score was 8 - 3 to Penarth taking them to the top of the table.

All the team played a vital part in the game but more so was the inspiring Chris Ball demonstrating the need for good all round players from defending to being the highest scorer in the game steeling 5 goals. Truly thrilling to watch.
